We are a locally constituted group with a mission to support Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) individuals in integrating into the community. Founded in 2009, we provide support in addressing salient health and education issues faced by the BME communities in Chelmsford.
Our Aim & Our Objective
We aim to support members of the BME communities in Chelmsford and the surrounding area, especially women with children, in the area of health, education and related matters. We intend to do this by:
Organizing healthy living initiatives (diet, exercise, health talks, etc)
Encouraging stronger community spirit through heritage issues like food, language & culture
Supporting the successful integration of BMEs
Organizing innovative and inclusive programs for children, young people, and their families
Holding befriending schemes
Improving life choices through education, arts & crafts, etc
